Brass-hilted hanger with depressed  heart-shaped guard.
Such sabers were used by militia.

With original and beautiful patina. Good shape but used of course.


This British infantry trooper or grenadier's hanger bears a 70 cm-long blade, marked on the spine DAWES a well-known Birmingham cutler.
Front of the blade is marked with a crown over 2.

Remnants of the original sheath.

Bought in England.
