The base of this lamp has a Polished brass finish. Standing 23" tall the lamp can be turned on and off simply by touching the base. This also controls the 3 power settings. What makes this lamp so special, however, is the shade. In a brass metal framework are 6 panels of glass. Each panel has a picture of a Black Angel watching over 2 children crossing a bridge. The diameter of the shade is 14 inches so this is a nice size lamp. (638AN2)
