The main frame structure, built from laser-cut 3mm stainless steel (EN 1.4301 / AISI 304), is extremely strong, corrosion resistant and simple to assemble, and eliminates the need for several printed parts due to the use of steel parts instead of threaded rods for the "Y" subframe (as in the original Prusa i3 and many of its variants). P3Steel v2.5 frame has 200x200mm printing area.
This kit ships unassembled in a flat package. Shipping weight is about 14lbs.

- This set only includes screws to assemble the supplied frame. You will need extra screws for the extruder, hot bed, etc.
- There might be some cosmetic scratches on the surface from the manufacturing. You can use palm sander or orbital sander to give it a nice "brushed metal" look.
- No electronics or plastic parts included
- There are fingerprint smudges on the frame in the picture. Sorry about that :)
Additional information:
The P3Steel
design is for 3mm thick steel and with lots of carvings to reduce weight. All
square holes and tabs have special rounded corners for accommodating
corresponding parts and give a very good fit between parts. The design has
slots for M3 nuts in the places where the screws fit so no threading is
required.
