This unit is B-STOCK and has the following functional imperfection: there is a click sound when switching from the CRUNCH/LEAD to the CLEAN channel if the CLEAN channel's GAIN knob is set to a low setting (<50%). However, that click sound is almost unnoticeable, if the CLEAN channels's GAIN knob is set to a setting higher than ~50%.

Otherwise, the preamp is in full working order, carries a manufacturer's warranty (please, see the "Warranty" section for details) and comes with original packaging and all included accessories and materials.

IMPORTANT NOTE! All of the SS-11A/B preamp pedals with vacuum tubes installed are clicking/blinking for ~3-4 times on a cold start. That happens due to the fact cold vacuum tubes need more power to start than the warm ones. That is completely normal and does not have a negative impact on the circuit or vacuum tubes. The preamp pedals start w/o any clicks with the stock 12AX7WS WarmStone solid-state "tubes" or when the vacuum tubes are warm. This preamp is currently equipped w/ the 12AX7WS WarmStones and therefore starts immediately.

The AMT SS-11 3-Channel Dual Tube Guitar Preamp boasts its compact size and maximum functionality in order to deliver full tube overdrive, using the highest quality components.
The SS-11 is available in two different versions: the A (Classic) and the B (Modern – the current listing) versions. Both of these versions have the same controls and specifications; however they are voiced slightly different. The SS-11B is designed to cover rock and metal sounds of today's high gain tube amplifiers. Great for low drop tuned and 7-8 string guitars.

IMPORTANT NOTE! AMT Electronics have recently switched from vacuum tubes to its solid-state substitutes – 12AX7WS WarmStones. Thus, all of the SS-11s from the latest batches come with 12AX7WS WarmStones – vacuum tubes solid-state substitutes. While you won't tell the difference in most cases and won't ever have to replace "old tubes" with new ones, it's still easy to replace the 12AX7WS WarmStones with traditional vacuum 12AX7 tubes (internal jumpers moving may be required, detailed instructions provided).

Channels & Modes

CLEAN channel delivers crystal clarity clean sound. BASS, MIDDLE, and HIGH controls for tweaking your tone; BRIGHT toggle switch for adjusting high frequency response.

DRIVE channel's CRUNCH mode features a pleasing overdriven tone with natural sustain. This is the SS-11's sweet spot! VERY warm and rich in harmonic overtones, much like those classic tube amps of the '70s and '80s! Wide range of gain adjustment allows to dial in everything from light crunch to tight and bright lead sound. Natural tube tone. If you're looking for something other than that dull solid-state overdrive pedal or TS clone, then THIS IS IT.

DRIVE channel's LEAD mode provides even higher gain tones, than the Crunch mode. Perfect for playing both heavy, chunky rhythm parts and singing lead parts with excellent presence. LD. T. SHIFT toggle switch takes your lead sound into "bright" mode, similar to those good old "Treble Booster" effects units from the '60s, that were used by guitarists to enhance their lead sound.
