The charger:

The Xtar MC1 Li-ion battery charger is a small, versatile and safe charger that is exceptional value

All Xtar chargers are packed with features that will look after your batteries to give longer life expectancy and will help protect you are your property, (it is also important to note that L-ion batteries can be dangerous and it is your responsibility to take adequate precautions should anything happen to the battery either while charging, discharging or being stored.) which has gained Xtar chargers high respect by experts in Li-ion technology and has seen them grow in to what we would consider the market leaders in Li-ion battery chargers.

Core features of ALL Xtar chargers:
  1. 3 stage charging 3
  2. 0V Activation - Activate your over-discharged batteries, saving you lots of money by rescuing batteries that would otherwise have to be thrown away
  3. Intelligent charging - adjust the charge current to what is most suitable for the batteries health
  4. IC Temperature monitor to keep cool while charging
  5. Soft start -  Slowly starts and finishes the charger to maintain long term health of batteries
  6. Reverse polarity protection - just in case you accidentally put your batteries in the charger the wrong way round.
  7. Accurate charge termination - Xtar chargers have excellent termination - terminating just slightly below the maximum voltage, this protects the long term health of the battery. Xtar chargers will completely terminate the charge and only start a recharge when the voltage drops below a set voltage for when the battery has been left in the charger. This is a safer way to keep the battery fully charged and its better for the batteries health as opposed to leaving a trickle of charge to keep the battery topped up as many other chargers do. Trickle can lead to overcharged batteries and will cause internal damage leading a shorter life span and in correct voltages.
  8. Correct CE certification tested by EU recognized CE testing companies LVD (low voltage directive) and EMC electromagnetic testing - RoSH certification
  9. 2 Year warranty - Warranty claims need to be via the distributor the product was bought from and the distributor then claims with Xtar (one reason its easier to buy from someone dealing directly with Xtar should on the rare occasion the charger develop a fault)

TheXtar 2600mAh Battery
Very good quality high capacity protected battery from Xtar, this battery also has button top added. This battery represents very good value by being relatively inexpensive but also having high capacity.
This battery is best used in devices like torches, or other devices that require protection against deep discharge and short circuit. This battery isnt suitable for high draw devices like low ohm electronic cigerettes

It is important to note, Efest batteries give you the pulse discharge rating which is different to the continuous discharge rating. The continuous discharge rating of this battery is 20A the pulse discharge rating is 35A

It is important to note that this is an unprotected, so its important to educate your self about handling and storage of these batteries. I'll give a couple of safety tips below but by no means is this a full list of battery safety, but just some important tip to get you started.
1, Always use a good charger - never use cheap unbranded ones.
2, Do not leave batteries charging unattended -  although accidents are quite rare, should something happen while your battery is charging the consequences could be serious if it is left unattended
3, NEVER carry the batteries on you without them being inside a none conductive protective case something like the one delivered with this battery and charger set. If carried loose dirt can build up under the battery cover and make a short circuit, or the material may be conductive and short circuit the battery, even other thing in your purse or pocket can create a short. If a short circuit happens the battery will heat up incredibly quickly, set on fire, vent gases or even explode, this can happen in seconds not giving you time to react, so please do take note of this. The battery can also get knocked about causing internal damage which may then make the battery dangerous while charging or discharging.

Please do read on how to care for your batteries before using them so not to unwittingly do something dangerous

If you have any questions about the batteries you buy you should ask the supplier you bought it from. Some batteries will give misleading information but a good seller will have testing equipment and know the real specifications of the battery
