Newly manufactured Thorens Motor Protection Rod for ALL Thorens TD-150 and for some older TD-160, TD-165, and TD-145 models.

One piece nicely machined stainless steel, built to original spec. Non-magnetic 304 stainless steel. 

Once installed, if you have an "oops" moment with your heavy outer platter, it could save you from much higher costs of motor replacement, spindle replacement, or motor support kit.

While you are looking at pictures, note the example of a motor badly out of true, caused by a platter mishap.

Note: Turntable and motor in the photos are for illustration purposes only. 

Note: If your suspension is already sagging, installation of the motor protection rod MAY prevent the platter from turning. In this case, you will need to tighten the three springs on the underside to be sure the platter clears the new rod.
