I don't really know what this is.  It came from an older Chinese lady.  It looks like celluloid or bakelite.  There is a tray inside and has Chinese writing on it.  Very nice condiiion, top is green with designs on it.  10" x 6 1/2".  Any questions, please ask.  Thanks for looking!
