Arcam A49 Amplifier

Here at Fanthorpes, we believe that the Arcam A49 amplifier is acoustically the best two channel amplifier we have ever heard from Arcam. The amplifier completely eclipses the preformance of its predecessor.

The A49 is Arcam's largest and most powerful class G integrated amplifier. The amplifier can deliver a stonking 200 watts into a 8 ohm load, but because of the class G design it can deliver the first 50 watts as pure class 'A'. This means that there is non of the crossover distortion associated with class AB amplifiers. 

In terms of connectivity we have a moving magnet phono input as well as 6 rca line level inputs. There is a fixed and a variable rca output. There are also a pair of balanced xlr inputs, and a variable xlr balanced output. The A49 has two pair of very solid looking speaker terminals, so biwiring is possible. The amplifier is also capable of av passthrough if you want to integrate it into an arcam av system for example
