The pop-up headlights as shown in the second and third pictures are activated by a trip mechanism on the underside of the model ahead of the front wheels. This can be seen as a small vertical tab when closing viewing underneath the model from either side while the model is still on its stand. It can be tripped by gently applying forward pressure on it with the tip of a small screwdriver or similar tool or utensil. The lights are lowered back into position by gently pressing down on them. They can probably be positioned tighter than they appear in our first model but we did not want to press too hard on them.
FOR ANYONE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW TO INTERPRET A MODEL'S SCALE, THE MODEL IS 3 3/4 INCHES LONG. THIS IS EQUIVALENT TO DIVIDING THE LENGTH OF THE REAL VEHICLE IN INCHES BY 43.
