Rx and Tx on this unit means the connection on the target board.
Sometimes the target board may be labelled this way too.

If it does not work one way then reverse the connections and try again. Please check diagram.

This unit will plug straight into the back of your PC or Laptop.
This unit has a Female 9pin D-sub connector

The 9pin D-sub connector on you PC/Laptop will be Male.

The 2x5 connector will plug onto the Raspberry Pi GPIO header-- (all models) connect 3v3,Gnd, Rx and Tx
Use you own cable (no cable is supplied),use screened cable for longer runs and connect screen to DB9 body.

Spare parts available for purchase just in case you should require any.
