One of two matching samplers listed.

An antique punch paper needlework sampler with a biblical verse, framed and glazed, and dating to around the late 19th / early 20th century.

The sampler is rectangular in form with the verse 'My Grace is sufficient for thee' (from 2 Corinthians 12:9) in light red / pink thread with green thread foliate scroll & motif details, and all on a punch paper ground with a gilt backing.

The wooden frame has a green finish with moulded detail and gilt inner border, glazed, (frame possibly slightly later ?) - please see photos and click to enlarge.

Size : Frame approx 19 3/4" x 8 7/8" (approx 50cm x 22.5cm).

Condition : Good used antique condition with no damage or restoration, some minor age related fading, the frame good with expected light marks / knocks / rubbing to the finish, and some rubbing to the gilt border - please see all photos & click to enlarge.
