Casio Midi Guitar MG-510 White w/ Soft Case

This item is fully functional, in excellent working condition and has three primary modes of operation.  It can play like a standard guitar or use the midi circuitry to trigger sounds from a sampler.  Piano and saxophone sound really good but you could literally trigger any sample you wanted. The third mode is analog combined with midi.  See video below for a analog guitar/midi piano demonstration.  The midi circuitry, pickups, switches, knobs and internal tuner are all operational.  Guitar is as shown in the photos and comes with a soft travel case and midi cable.

This item does not include the whammy bar or AC Adapter but both are easily available online.  A 9v battery located in the back replaces the need for a power adapter.  User manual is also available online in PDF format.   Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions.  Thank you for your interest and have a great day!

I have listed some features of the guitar below.

A.  The MIDI Control panel gives guitar players all the control needed for performance without having to work an outboard control box or computer. It includes the following:

  1. 3-position Switch 1: selects between playing modes MIDI,  Guitar + MIDI, or Guitar only
  2. 3-position Switch 2:  Transposes: Up one octave, Normal, or Down one octave
  3. 3-position Switch 3: Patch Change, Chromatic mode, and Normal (full pitch bend)
  4. MIDI Volume knob:  Sends MIDI volume, a.k.a MIDI controller #7 (can be rerouted by most DAWS to send any control data such as reverb levels, outboard EFX tweaks, etc.) You can also take advantage of MIDI specification by using guitar notes to control any incremental or on/off MIDI or audio function - especially handy while doing automation programming.

B.  Bottom Connector panel:

  1. Midi cable out
  2. Guitar cable out
  3. AC cable in
  4. MIDI function On/Off Switch

C.  Bright Red LED's light up for:

  1. Power on status light - steady light
  2. Patch change light - fast blinking
  3. When in guitar tuner/MIDI mode - steady arrow is lit for sharp or flat, both arrows light when guitar is tuned.
