KRAMER STRIKER 4000ST Flying V Style Electric Guitar
This is a vintage 1985 Kramer with a blue/green metallic finish. The ends of the points show some wear. The rest of the guitar looks great. The neck is straight and has a perfectly smooth back-side. The frets are also in real nice condition showing no dents. The guitar plays very well and the intonation is dead on. The tremolo has been changed out to a Kramer licensed model. The plates that were in between the base and the block have been removed to allow the trem to rest in the cavity in a level position. The removed plates were for the fine tuning feature. Since this guitar does not have a locking nut all tuning can easily be done at the headstock. Thus the fine tuners have been tightened down all the way and should stay so when playing the guitar. Loosen to zero tension when changing the strings. The tremolo is as far down as it can go and has nice medium action. The original trem was a bit thinner and would allow for low action. If you want to acieve low action a Floyd Rose (non fine tuner model) is recommended. I have not tried the truss rod to lower the action nor would I attempt to do so as the intonation is set perfectly and the guitar plays well as is. The sustain block has been upgraded to a Floyd Rose 32. The guitar has plenty of tone so I dial the tone back for more articulate guitar playing. Guitar comes with tremolo bar and the extra parts from the tremolo
