ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Canon EF 28mm f2.8 lens

I purchased this lens years ago as an occasional low-profile walk around lens and as a semi-wide backup to the 24 f1.4L and 24-105 f4L that I used regularly, “just in case” anything happened. Fortunately, nothing ever did happen, and this little gem stayed tucked away in the camera bag, mostly unused. A small, comfortable wide angle prime.

Optics are in great condition, no chips in the glass that I can see. There is a large cosmetic mark on the body plastic, easily seen in the included images. I purchased the lens used and it came with the mark, I’m not sure what it is from.

There is no rear lens cap included in this auction.

Note that any pictures demonstrating focus and sharpness wide open on the book test have NOT been processed in the computer to adjust contrast or sharpening. RAW files were converted via ACR in Lightroom, sharpening and contrast set to default levels. No export sharpening. Exposure may have been adjusted slightly to match all images in the set.

Part-time professional photographer, I spent the last 10 years taking occasional photography jobs, shooting maybe half a dozen church gatherings, events, and weddings a year. Although I enjoy my work, most days my cameras have just been sitting on the shelf. In the last few years, God has really been working a different direction in my life, and I am no longer doing any work in photography. I can’t justify keeping my equipment anymore if I'm not going to use it, even occasionally, so to eBay it goes! Everything has been thoroughly tested before listing.
