The bottom has many perforations which makes this insert great steaming vegetables. Also included is a wire trivet that will elevate the insert above what is in the bottom of your pot. The collapsible handle on the insert allows for easy lifting from cooker. Measures 8-3/4-inch in diameter. Dishwasher safe.
