17th / 18th Century Icon Depicting Daniel with Lions & The Fiery Furnace!

This large outstanding icon is painted on wood and depicts a view of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, as well as Daniel amongst the lions. There are angels overlooking from the sky in the upper left and there is various writing in red in the scenes as well. It has Wolfard‘s Galleries label on the reverse, along with another early label. The wood shows good age with early nails and wormholes. It is mounted in a more modern frame, presumably while at Wolfard‘s. It dates circa 17th / 18th Century and measures approximately 15 + ¾ inches tall by 11 + ½ inches without the frame. The frame measures approximately 20 inches by 15 + ½ inches. The image has crazing and wear consistent with age, as can be seen in the photos.
