Up for sale is this super rare and only one vintage ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER SUPER PRECISION REFERENCE 5500, circa 1958

The watch is in good condition for its age. It is original and untouched. It has been serviced in 2014 and keeps good time.

The original TEXTURED CHEVRON dial is UNIQUE. It is marked SWISS at 6 o'clock. It shows some signs of aging (mostly around 4-5 o' clock, but still looks fine. This is the rarest dial for an explorer 5500. Photos of the dial under normal daylight are shown. No filter in any photos. 

The dagger hands are also in original used condition with oxidation 

The 1530 movement with butterfly rotor is aesthetically fine and works great

The case has been polished and it is in very nice shape for its age with thick even lugs. 

The reference and serial numbers are sharp. Probably the thickest 5500 case I have seen.

The rolex factory crystal is as it should be

The steel case back has been polished. The inside has all the stampings. 

The crown screws down nicely.

No filter on any of the photos.

Overall, a super super rare watch in very nice condition for its age.
