The Valley Audio Valvepre A is a hand built, valve based preamplifier. The sound quality and tonal versatility of this unit are outstanding and truly unique. From extremely clear, biting highs to warm, rich, punchy lows this preamplifier will bring your audio to life like you've never known.
The preamp is highly adaptable and can be used with a large variety of line or instrument level sources. It features balanced and unbalanced outputs making it perfect for any recording set up or playing live.
By employing many of the same building techniques and high quality components found in legendary vintage preamplifiers, and their high end modern counterparts, in a simplified package; Valley Audio have achieved amazing, transparent audio reproduction at an outstanding price.
All of Valley Audio’s Valvepre range are built at our workshop, in the U.K., from start to finish, from point to point wiring to the hand engraving of panels, ensuring top quality throughout.
Getting started with the Valley Audio Valvepre A is simple!
o Attach the mains IEC cable provided
o Attach input and output connections, XLR or jack, as desired
o Turn on the unit using the illuminating switch on the rear
o Adjust gain using ‘G’ dial and high/ low gain switch
o Adjust ‘T’ (treble) and ‘B’ (bass) dials for tonal quality
o Enjoy!
Refinements
o When used with an instrument source, please remember that adjustment of the instrument output level can have a significant effect on the distortion attributes of the unit.
o The device is highly versatile, tonally speaking. Using the tonal controls the output sound can range for very clean, cutting timbres to warm, punchy textures, so remember to experiment and find your sound.

o This unit comes with a two year warranty, if during this period the unit becomes faulty or doesn't meet your expectations please contact us as soon as possible for support and advice.
