Original/genuine true vintage 1970s Japanese porcelain ware large table lamp bought directly from the Far East in the 1970s. Very attractive 'lidded ginger jar' shape made of porcelain, with a hand-carved dark wood round footed base. The porcelain is beige coloured (caramel tone) with a stunning long tailored dragon in the centre in burgundy red and gold. The dragon is surrounded by beautiful traditional Japanese imagery of sea waves at the base, clouds higher up with dahlia flowers petals with leaves and coral/dragon flame shapes scattered all over. From a pet and smoke free environment.

Lovely huge taper bell shaped beige/caramel tone shade made of strong raw silk. This is lined, with double piping at the top & bottom rims. Quite sturdy.
Whilst photographing I noticed there is unfortunately a small area of damage to the shade which may be fixable (see close-up photo). This is not noticeable at all if this side of the shade is positioned against a wall.

The height of the lamp is adjustable, as there is a bronze stem coming from the head of the lamp with a bronze screw piece to tighten the stem at the desired height. The head piece is bronze and takes 2 large bayonette light fitting - so can provide much light. The electrical wire is white and quite long, with a white on/off switch.
