SLR Laser - 2W 445nm
Overview
This laser module is ideal if you are looking to build your own DIY laser engraver. It interfaces smoothly with grbl and its new PWM laser functions. A UK plug power adaptor is included and driver voltage is pre-adjusted to a reasonable value. Wood can be burned from a distance of 2-3 meters so extra care is to be taken in regards to fire hazards on top of general class 4 laser safety with this laser. Included is a safety switch which can be plugged into the TTL port of the driver. When this switch is plugged in, the laser will only power on when the button is held down. If the switch is not plugged in the laser will run constantly unless a PWM signal is supplied via the TTL port instead. In which case, laser power can be fully controlled digitally via a grbl device or similar The laser can be manually focused from a parallel beam, down to about 3cm from the lens. Both the driver and cables are labelled accordingly so you can connect everything correctly with ease. This module is made affordable by the use of recycled laser diodes from used electronics. The performance of the laser and the diodes are fully tested before use to make sure they meet specification. The cables from the laser to the driver are 28cm long.
