WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN  LUFTWAFFE MOTOR TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT ADMINISTRATOR'S TRADE BADGE. The badge consists of a roughly, 55mm diameter Luftwaffe blue/grey all wool base with a machine embroidered, seven spoked wheel rim and tire with an upward swept wing emanating from the central hub all in silvery/grey threads. The embroidery shows nice detailing including treads to the tire. The badge is in overall fine, clean condition. MOTOR TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT ADMINISTRATOR'S TRADE BADGE. (Kraftfahrzeuggerät Tätigkeitsabzeichen) 

BACKGROUND: The Luftwaffe utilized a wide variety of trade specialty badges, introduced at various times, for issue to qualified EM/NCO’s after successful completion of the appropriate training courses. The distinctive trade badges were generally worn on the lower left sleeve of the service tunic and the flight and field blouses as identifying insignia. The Motor Transport Equipment Administrator’s badge was introduced for wear by qualified EM’s on November 8TH 1935 and was utilized for the duration of the war. Of Note: There were four different classifications of equipment administrators in the Luftwaffe, and each classification had their own distinctive trade badge.
