A good quality C1870 lacquered brass telegraph key. The key is mounted on its original polished mahogany stand with brass inserted screw locations. The key itself is insulated with polished ebonite between both contacts and their is a polished ebonite thumb knob. 

Connections are made via lacquered brass screw terminals.
