NO RESERVE. 1/18 1955-1964 Messerschmitt KR200 Tandem Seat Bubble Car with license plate #LPV 966 in light turquoise blue (although the label on the model's box identifies its color as 'light blue', there is a turquoise tint to the color so that 'light turquoise blue' seems to better describe it). One of approximately 40,000 KR200 Kabienroller - for "Scooter a Cabin" or "Cabin Scooter" built by Messerschmitt as a follow-on to 15,000 examples of the earlier KR175 built from 1953 to 1955. Both vehicles were as a result of Messerschmitt's seeking other products to make and sell during the period following WWII when it was prohibited from manufacturing aircraft.

Diecast model. Oxford Automobile Company #18MBC004. MIB.

Care should be exercised in opening and closing the roof, which swings over the right hand side of the model. This is held shut with a tab at its lower left front corner that clips into a slot in the adjacent section of the main body shell and another tab about 1/2 inch in from the left rear corner of the roof that clips into the top rear deck.

FOR ANYONE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW TO INTERPRET A MODEL'S SCALE, THE MODEL IS 6 1/4 INCHES LONG. THIS IS EQUIVALENT TO DIVIDING THE LENGTH OF THE REAL VEHICLE IN INCHES BY 18.

Buyer pays shipping as indicated:

Note that our international shipping charges have gone up because of significant increases in First Class International postage that the USPS put into effect on January 27, 2016.

Prior to the increase, packages weighing under 1 lb. could be shipped anywhere outside the US for under $15.00 - except to Canada which was somewhat less - and a significant increase took effect over 1 lb. However, with the new rate structure, international postage (again, except for Canada) for any package weighing between 9 oz. and 2 lbs ranges between $22.00 and $22.75. The cost of postage for Canada is $15.50.

To assist our overseas customers, as an extension of our Free Shipping for US buyers now standard on our new listings, our corresponding international S&H Charges for models that weigh 2 lbs or less packed are $16.00 and not the higher $22.00 - $22.75 amounts. Our comparable charge for Canada is $10.00.
