Striking blue cameo ring with blue sapphires around a carved blue cameo -- Not sure what material the cameo is. Sapphires may be natural but are probably synthetic. Size-8. Front measures 7/8" at tallest point and 3/4" at widest point. The setting measures 5/16" deep. Cameo measures 11/16" tall and 9/16" at widest point. Small stones measure 2mm. Stamped-14K. Weight-6.4 grams. In good vintage condition. Metal and/or gemstones have been professionally tested, regardless of hallmarks.

That picture of me is from the happiest time of my life.
I started on eBay a few years ago. But my story starts before that. In 2010, I was a manager for a business in Chicago. I was completely unhappy and stuck. I finally reached my breaking point so I gave notice and headed to the Big Island of Hawai'i to live on a farm and plant trees.
I didn't know it then, but I would end up staying on the Big Island for a full year.
Finally living my dream
Half way through the year, I left the safety of the farm and camped on the island's beaches, living out of my backpack. I woke up every morning with no destination. I followed the beauty of the island and trusted my intuition. Hitchhiking became a way of life. When a stranger does something nice for you, it makes you think the whole world is kind-hearted. Imagine starting each day that way, it's a wonderful way to live.
And that's where the "ThumbOut" eBay name comes from. You never know which car will be your ride, so Keep your thumb out!
The most powerful adventure was my solo journey to see flowing lava. I walked 3 miles over cooled lava fields under a full moon. I reached the live flow at 1am and watched as new earth poured out of the ground . Seeing lava in real life has been a childhood dream. Once I got a taste of this kind of adventure, I never went back to my old way of living. But I wasn't sure what was next for me...
Today
I now split my time between Thailand and the US, and I haven't had a boss in years! Location independent income started out as a distant dream that is now a reality. My dad taught me this business and my mom is my working partner, handling things on the ground when I'm traveling. I love dealing in vintage jewelry, not least because its fans are kind and reasonable. I meet many people on my travels who live this lifestyle, and I have an interest in helping others take the leap as well. It is an amazing time to be alive and have access to the freedom available.
