Rimblades is a UK based company manufacturing four types of alloy wheel rim protectors, sold under the brand names of Rimblades, Rimbands, Scuffs and Trims4Rims.
In this listing is a set of Scuffs alloy wheel rim protectors. Scuffs are made from a durable lightweight plastic developed specially for us for use as a rim protector. Scuffs have a flat rear side that is attached to the face of the wheel with a VHB (very high bond) tape and a guide lip on the top side helps to get a perfect fit.
Scuffs can be used for three main reasons:
- Detail a wheel and add a pinstripe in one of nine colours.
- Add a protective trim strip.
- Cover up existing damage saving of wheel refurbishment.
The Scuffs material is durable and easy to wipe clean. They are supplied in 4 x 1.9 metre lengths. This is enough to fit wheels up to 22” in diameter. Scuffs are simply cut to the required length during the fitting procedure. If you watch the Scuffs fitting video on the Scuffs page of our main rimblades.com website, it shows you how to fit these, so the join is invisible.
Scuffs have a 6mm wide VHB tape on the rear side, so need a flat or slightly curved fitting area wide enough for the tape to adhere. They won′t fit wheels that have a lip or those with balance weights on a lipped surface.
Scuffs underwent an extensive period of testing before we put them into full production where we supplied sets to our past and trade customers for evaluation with great results.
Scuffs are manufactured in the UK in our factory in Cornwall.
