A lovely solid silver and green guilloche enamel compact. The compact is circular, and has a chevron enamel design. The base has an engine turned design. It hinges open to reveal a mirror on the inside of the lid.

Hallmarks: The compact is sterling silver hallmarked with a Glasgow Import Mark, 925 and the letter 'a' (for 1923). The importers mark 'S.G & Co' is untraced.

Dimensions: It has a diameter of 5cm, a height of c1cm and weighs 48.5grams.

Condition: The enamelling is fine. One light bruise in the silver. A few small chips on the mirror. No splits or repairs. The lid closes without clicking shut, so it opens up a little too easily.
