With a convenient touch sensor switch, this is the ideal lighting solution for night time reading.

Bulbs required 1 x 30W SES eco halogen or 1 x 9W energy saving SES golf ball (not included).

If you are purchasing from overseas, please be aware that these lamps are designed for European 230v circuits and supplied with a fitted UK plug, so you may need a voltage and/or plug adaptor.

It does say it's just a touchable base however you can touch anywhere on the lamp for it to turn on and off but I don't see this as an issue. It's a bargain for the price, plus it looks lovely and doesn't look cheap in the slightest. Looks perfect as a desk lamp!"
