This mouthpiece is based on the last generation of Frank and Ed Meyer's most popular model ever made:  the NEW YORK, USA model from the late 1960's.  Actual vintage hard rubber castings from the 70's and 80's are used. Labor intensive old world quality.

This auction is for the 6M model pictured. It is engraved GW within a circle on top and 6M to the right of the table. The tip opening measures .076"  It has a medium round chamber with gently scooped sidewalls , power ring and slightly concave floor. Other facings are available.  Feel free to write with questions.

It plays with a rich, robust tone with excellent response throughout the range of the saxophone as well as the altissimo register. A free blowing mouthpiece.

Each mouthpiece is play tested by myself, a 42 year, degreed saxophonist.  It must pass my high standards for playability, including a reed that seals well with even response throughout the instrument, superior tone quality with an attractive appearance before it is available.  The high quality vintage hard rubber stock along with careful attention to detail add up to a fine quality product and a superior player.  Each mouthpiece is ready when it is worthy of me playing it on a live gig.

These mouthpieces are a great value that are very reasonably priced.  My goal is to provide the quality and playability of the vintage mouthpieces made before corporate takeover changed the products.  This is my seventh year of production, and over 2500 players own GW mouthpieces.
