This brooch is an early 1940's brooch signed STARET. This brooch is known as the "Liberty Torch" pin. Features a flesh-colored enamel hand with pink enamelled fingernails holding a red/orange enameled flaming torch. The dimensional torch features bands of blue enamel and is set with clear rhinestone accents. A few of this clear rhinestones show wear.
The top section of the torch has three large oval red faceted open back rhinestones and a large red stone at the base of the torch handle.
White Pot metal base.
Measures 4 1/8"tall by 1 1/8" at widest point.
