This is the Bird of Death Bracelet made by Alchemy Gothic. The handmade English Pewter cuff bracelet features four amethyst-colored Swarovski crystals set in a diamond shape flanked by two bats. The wings of the bats form the sides of the bracelet. The Bird of Death bracelet comes in two sizes: Large and Small. This bracelet is a size Small. On the inside, it measures approximately 2 1/2" wide (corresponding to how wide your wrist is) and 1 7/8" deep (corresponding to how thick your wrist is). The metal can be gently molded to your wrist or arm, but repeated over-bending of the metal will result with the metal breaking. Please note: Alchemy Gothic retired the Bird of Death bracelet in 2015.
Symbolism: The Bird of Death is meant to be the crest of the 'living corpse' of the Carpathians, Count Orlok, otherwise known as Nosferatu.
Handcrafted English Pewter: This bracelet is handmade using the highest quality English Pewter. English Pewter is a lead-free, zinc-free alloy which is valued second only to silver. English Pewter is much harder to craft than the low-grade zinc and lead alloys (which contain a significant amount of toxic impurities) that are still being used in some jewelry manufacture today. Because these bracelets are handcrafted and hand-finished, each one is unique; and there are slight variations between individual pieces. Also, slight imperfections in the finished product are normal, expected, and add to the unique handmade character of each piece. The bracelet pictured is a sample and is not the actual bracelet shipping.
