The lens is in great condition for its age, the lens barrel itself is very clean as seen in the pictures. Focus is smooth and the aperture is snappy, with the blades being clean and free of oil.

Optically the lens is clean and completely free of fungus or haze. I hesitate to say that there is no dust as there nearly always is in a lens of this age if you look hard enough but it is certainly very minimal to the point where I haven't noticed any. Certainly nothing that would affect image quality as shown in the test image.

This is a good example of this lens and ideal for adapting to a digital camera. I've been using it on a Fuji X-pro. The test image above is straight from camera (Fuji X-Pro, so 1.5x APS-C crop) and should help to give you an idea of its performance.
