The "Praga 1968" Balloon takes to the air: The Prague Balloon Club started its activities on the occasion of the opening of the "Pragua 1968" World Exhibition of Postage stamps; the "Praga 1968" balloon took off for the first time on the Letna plain in Prague. General Umberto Nobile, the legendary Polar Explorar and Commander of the "Italia" airship, 1928, acted as starter.
