Description: Georgian memorial ring from the UK. Made of 18 Kt yellow gold and boasting a fine, faceted Essex crystal that is likely foiled. The back of the ring has the period gold sunburst. 

The shank of the ring is gold with black enamel and tells its life history. The mourned gentleman's name is "Rob Herle"as best I can decipher. He died on 8 March 1775 at age 55.

Measurements:  Crystal is 3/8" by 1/4" and ring fits a size 9 - 9-1/2.

Age:  Circa 1770's

Condition: Very good for age. Intermittent wear to black enamel on shank. All original. Ring box is for dispay purposes only
