Up for sale is my beloved vintage 1970s 5x14 black beauty snare. SN#1565577. Not a transitional-era late 70s/early 80s serial number (so there is no mistaking this beauty for bronze--it is BRASS without question) and a relatively early serial at that vis-a-vis used vintage black beauty snare drums.


The pics speaks for themselves. It is in superb condition for a drum of its age. All original save the heads and snare wires. No cracks, or dents or extra holes. As expected there are a few minor scuffs and scratches here and there-nothing remotely major. More importantly however, the nickel plating in and of itself has no signs of tarnish and/or peeling.


Vintage 70s black beauties are few and far between much less one such as this in great condition and with a relatively early serial number. If you ever wanted to own one, this is the one to get. You will not regret it.
