This is a magnificent Emerald and Diamond Platinum ring of the highest quality!!! It along with several other jewels I am listing came from a spectacular oceanfront estate in Southampton NY. The ring is impressive.
And Emeralds are all the rage today - look at the photos from the recent issue of Veranda I have included with the prices. And the photo from Town and Country - Jackie Kennedy Onassis ring was an emerald and diamond!
APPRAISAL:
The ring has been very conservatively appraised by UGL of New York at $13,600.00. UGL appraises items at 1.5 times the wholesale cost of the gems. This means that the price that jewelers in the diamond district of New York would have to PAY for this ring would be $9,066.00. This is the absolute lowest price that the ring could be purchased for by the dealers. It is gorgeous!! The appraisal will be included with the purchase.
EMERALD
The magnificent emerald cut emerald is absolutely spectacular. It is 2.1 CTS and 9.5 by 7 mm.
The emerald is a gorgeous perfect green color with strong color saturation - you will love it!!!
DIAMONDS
The diamonds are of superb quality! They are eye clean and white white white with incredible sparkle and fire.
24 tapered Baguette cut diamonds: Clarity VS, Color F/G - gorgeous. Look at the beautiful cuts of these diamonds - WOW!
Total diamond weight: 1.20 ct.
MOUNTING
The Ring is Platinum and hallmarked Pt900 along with the numbers 2.20 and D114 - these numbers may indicate the carat weight of the Emerald and Diamonds as determined by the maker of the ring. The appraisal was done with the gems in the mounting. Thus the emerald may be even larger and better than the UGL appraisal indicates!
The ring is in excellent condition. It weighs 7.7 grams. The ring is currently a size 6.25 US (M UK, 12 French/Japanese) and can be easily resized if desired.
Jewels of this quality do not come onto the market at affordable prices very often - this is a treasure and a superb buy and investment piece.
