I describe all items with care not to mislead you, the buyer. All my listings include a condition report, multiple photographs and a link to higher resolution photographs in a picture album hosted by Google. eBay greatly reduces the quality of the images, so for the finer quality images I intended you to see, always follow the link in the description to the picture album hosted by Google.

Artwork: I have ten years experience in this business and have sold over 1,000 paintings and examined and evaluated 100,000's of them. When I sell artwork described as an "oil painting", "watercolour" or a "print", that is quite simply what it really is!

Authenticity: If I sell a artwork as being "by" a particular artist, without a doubt I guarantee it to be an original artwork by the stated artist.

When I list artwork as by a "follower" or "school" or "manner" of an artist. Or from a specific period or time eg. "19th century". Based on the available information, knowledge and research, that what I believe the artwork most likely is.

If I am not sure about the artist, medium, or age, I will clearly say so and tell you why.

Payment: I accept PayPal, Cheques, and Postal Orders, Instant Bank Transfers that do not include shared fees, and Payment on Collection. Cheques must clear before shipping. 

Please advise of your chosen payment method within two days of buying an item, or the item may be re-listed and non payment lodged with eBay. 

Delivery Address: To comply to eBay and PayPal Seller Protection, items can only be sent to the address on the PayPal order details. Please make sure your delivery address is correct at the time of payment as this can not be changed after a sale.

If you are shipping elsewhere, you must add the new address as a 'Gift Address' to PayPal at the time of payment.

PO Boxes: Since many of the couriers will not ship to them, P.O. boxes are not an accepted form of delivery address.

Postage & Packaging: Listed postal prices are for the UK (Mainland), Europe (Excluding the Special Territories) and the USA & Canada. If you are located elsewhere, please enquire before bidding for additional postage costs. Postage will be combined where possible on multiple purchases.

Safe Shipping! Paintings are packed securely in custom made plywood boxes with new packaging materials specially bought in bulk and shipped to me from a wholesale supplier. This ensures I can use a lot of quality packaging materials to protect your items and keep the handling costs down.

Postage in the UK: Is by Royal Mail for small or inexpensive items, and for larger or more expensive items fully tracked and signed for 48 hour services from International Couriers, including Parcelforce, FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

Postage Globally: For small or inexpensive items is by Royal Mail Airmail Signed For, and for larger or more valuable items fully tracked and and signed for services available from International Couriers, including Parcelforce, FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

Good News for USA Buyers... Original Paintings, Drawings and Works of Art are Duty-Free! (Chapter 97 in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule)

This notice and terms of purchase applies to all purchases by buyers outside of the European Union or within a country of the European Special Territories.

Your Countries Customs Fees: Please know and be aware of your own Countries Customs Fees and Duty. These are paid by you the buyer (the importer) of the shipment and may include Courier Processing and Brokerage Fees which you, as the importer, are legally liable to pay.

Courier Processing and Brokerage Fees: These are fees applied by the courier responsible for the delivery of the item you have purchased and covers any additional administration costs they may incur on items that are processed by them though Customs on entry.

You are agreeing: By purchasing that you will pay all Customs Charges and Processing Fees due on your imported shipment and will supply any additional clearance information requested by the Courier or Customs Authority in your Country.

If a shipment is held, abandoned by Customs, or returned by the Courier, due to a failure by you to pay Custom Charges or clear a shipment for delivery, you agree to forfeit the original shipping fee and to reimburse the seller on production of an itemised bill detailing any additional costs they may have incurred, including return shipping fee or the full cost of any abandoned shipment.

To comply with local and international laws, I will not state a lower value for the shipment on the Commercial Invoice.

Returns are accepted when:

Misdescribed: In the unlikely event a purchase is significantly ascertained to be not as described collectively by both the description and photographic images. For buyers in the UK, I will offer a full refund without question and pay the return costs. For buyers outside the UK, I will be happy to offer a partial refund on your purchase that we both agree to be fair.

Damage on Delivery: If an item arrives damaged on delivery. On condition of being informed within 24 hours and packaging retained, I will launch a claim with the Courier. Courier's often ask that damaged items and packaging remain in situ while claims are being investigated. This process can take several weeks and I can only accept return and offer a refund when the Courier investigation is complete.

Distance Selling Regulations: Most Buy It Now purchases in the UK are covered under the Distance Selling Regulations, which give consumer buyers the right to cancel the purchase within fourteen working days after the day they receive the item. In this instance I expect the buyer to pay for the return of the purchase.
