 This sale is for a stunning 18ct gold 1ct Old cut 3 diamond gypsy star set ring.

The 3 Old cut diamond weighing approx 1ct being gypsy star set into a wide gallery (gallery width 7.5mm). 

This is an estate piece with huge investment value.

This ring would look superb as either a Gents ring or ladies ring and with 3 large diamonds really does attract attention and looks stunning.

The diamonds measure:

Central stone: 4.9 x 4.9 x 2.5 = 0.40ct

Side stone 1: 4.2 x 4.2 x 2.5 = 0.30ct

side stone 2: 4.2 x 4.2 x 2.5 = 0.30ct

Total 1ct

The ring weight 5.75g

Please note old cut diamonds are deeper and have a thicker girdle and higher table than modern brilliant cuts therefore they measure differently in mm sizes (you can not use a diamond size gauge against these stones - not that you should use one anyway as it is crude method employed by amateurs. Please get all your diamonds appraised at proper jewellers if you want an accurate and detailed appraisal!). The GIA calculations for Old cut stones is length x width x depth x 0.0066 (this factor is 0.0061 for modern brilliant cut stones).

This ring should be worn enjoyed but also viewed as an investment piece as it will only increase in value (something most modern jewellery will simply not do).

Please do not confuse the jewellery items that I sell with the garbage sold in establishments like H Samuel, E Jones, Goldshmit, and most large scale trade Ebay jewellery sellers. Virtually all of the new jewellery being sold by these people, is being churned out in Turkey, China and India.

I also notice, that many other trade listers, are insulting your intelligence, by describing their items as having 39% off RRP and similar. Furthermore, they don't even show a proper picture of the item they are selling in their listing, just a scan from a catalogue. So for goodness sake, please don’t get taken in by this nonsense. I hate to see people get ripped off thinking they are buying quality when really you are buying mass produced (for want of a better word – TAT).

Delivery.

We send all our items using Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' before 1pm the next day. This is the reason for the postage cost of £7.50. This ensures piece of mind and security. Items are fully insured against loss and damage. Although our dispatch states 2 working days we endeavour to send all items out within 1 working day and we achieve this 99.9% of the time.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not over charge or make any money on our postage. Royal Mail Special delivery costs £6.45, Ebay fees on postage is 83p and once you take the packaging and jewellery boxes into account we actually come out with a small loss for postage and packaging of about £2.
