Propellers spin. Can be display "on the ground" or "in flight" on the stand provided. Landing gear can be removed and replaced with closed wheel well doors if shown "in flight" but to minimize handling the model, we have not attached the open wheel well doors for our pictures with the gear down or the closed doors when "in flight". Oxford's stands mount the aircraft nose-down banked to the right so we've propped the model up into a level position for our fourth and fifth pictures. The way the model normally appears when its stand is level is shown in the sixth picture.
The model and its stand are set in a form-cut foam rubber insert in a dark blue simulated leather box with a folding top which is comes in a elegant dark blue cardboard sleeve. Diecast model. Oxford Aviation #72AA001.
MIB but there are several scuff marks and smudges on the top of the blue cardboard sleeve that slips over the model's box - but this is mainly noticeable when the box is held at certain angles. The model came to us this way from our supplier in a carton full of similar sized Oxford Aviation models with factory liner paper between the layers of models. Since we have encounter this condition with these "Blue Box" models in the past, we suspect it was somehow caused by handling at the factory.
FOR ANYONE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW TO INTERPRET A MODEL'S SCALE, THE MODEL IS 7 INCHES LONG AND HAS A 9 3/8 INCH WINGSPAN. THESE ARE EQUIVALENT TO DIVIDING THE LENGTH AND WINGSPAN OF THE REAL AIRCRAFT IN INCHES BY 72.
