Here is a fabulous Vintage 1940's S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver, Floral Repousse Cuff Bracelet. The name S. Kirk & Son speaks for itself in their ultimate quality, and the design is stunning.
The bracelet measures just shy of 2 5/16" across the inside oval shape, 7 1/2" from end to end, with a 7/16" opening. The bracelet has some give, and can be adjusted larger or smaller to fit your wrist. The bracelet is 7/8" wide, and it weighs approximately 31 Grams.
The bracelet is Hallmarked "S Kirk & Son~Sterling", on the front bottom edge. The Samuel Kirk Silver Company was founded in 1815 in Baltimore, MD, and in 1828 he introduced an ornate type of repousse design as seen in this bracelet, which has become known as the Baltimore Style. This particular design has been the most sought after of their jewelry to this day. There have been several hallmarks used since the companies beginnings, and this hallmark dates it back to between 1932 and 1961, and I am pretty sure this was done in the 1940's.
I absolutely love anything from S. Kirk & Son, and I am sure you will love this too.
The bracelet is in very good vintage condition, with only some minor scuffing and wear from age and use. The bracelet still has some great patina, which really sets off the floral repousse design, but you may want to have it polished. Please scroll down and see all 22 pictures.
