Lens Solid colors, genuine since 1937, the classic G-15 was originally developed for military use, offers a high level of clarity, comfort and protection.  By absorbing 85% of visible light and blocking out most of the blue light, green lenses provide remarkable color contrast. G-15 green lenses ensure better clarity of vision and a more "natural vision".

Currently one of the most iconic sunglass models in the world, Ray-Ban Aviator Classic sunglasses were originally designed for U.S. aviators in 1937.  2017 = 80th Anniversary.


How to Identify Authentic Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Carry Case: Ray-Ban glasses come in a black or tan case with the Ray-Ban logo printed on the front. The inside of the case is lined in red or black. (Picture 3 )

Left Temple: The inside left temple arm of Ray-Ban sunglasses feature the model number and sizing details. Again check for any errors in font size, spacing or alignment.  (Picture 4 )

RB Etch: New Ray-Ban sunglasses have a small 'RB' etched on the left lens just below the hinge. Compare the size and font carefully. The etching should be very clean. Pre 2000 models have the letters 'BL' etched for Bausch & Lomb who previously owned the company. (Picture 5 )

Ray-Ban Logo: The Ray-Ban logo is printed on the right hand lens. Again check the size, font and clarity of the letters. The logo should not have peeled or flaked.  (Picture 6 )

Temple Screws: Ray-Ban Aviator temple hinges are attached with Phillips screw head (crossed) screws. (Picture 7 )

Nose Pad Logo: The letters 'RB' can be found under the clear resin on the oval shaped nose pad. (Picture 8)

Nose Bridge Logo: The word "RAY-BAN" followed by the size code are located on the underside of the metal nose bar. Check that the code matches the size code detailed on the inside left temple arm. (Picture 9 )
