Selling this used Vantage 700VP electric guitar in fair condition. I believe it was built in or around
1978 in Japan. It's a really cool guitar, though it has a fair amount of dings, especially around the contours of the body, as well as on the top of the headstock. It looks old in both a "used" and "vintage" (faded wood and cream colors) way.

The electronics all seem to mostly work and be original, but the coil switch on the bridge humbucker is cutting out the sound completely, almost like a "kill switch". I don't know if that's intentional or not, and I didn't want to change anything, as it doesn't bother me as it works for the middle and neck positions of the pickup selector, but I wanted to make note of it. The bridge pickup also feels a little bit "loose" within the plastic rings, but works fine from what I can tell. There is also some fretwear, particularly in the lower frets, but this hasn't been an issue for me. The backplates are missing some screws (they're attached, but a little clunky). The original volume and tone knobs seem to be in fine working order, and still turn smoothly.

The tuners also appear to be original and turn as they're supposed to. The strap pins are attached, but a bit loose.

Its other features include:

Neck type: Hard maple
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Body: Maple and Ash laminated with 4 walnut strip inlays
Pickups: Two #450PF humbuckers
Frets: 22
Hardware color: Chrome
Controls: 2 volume, 2 tone, coil tap switch, three-way pickup selector

It has been sitting unplayed for a while, so could use a nice setup to your specifications, but it is a nice instrument overall with a lot of potential. If feels quite smooth as it is when I play it.

Will ship safely in a generic old gig bag.
