I bought these for a project which never happened, so they're in the same state I acquired them. As I haven't installed them myself I can't comment on the sound, but Alembic are well-known for their super-clean and innovative electronics. Testing with a basic multimeter gives 10Kohm readings for both (not sure how accurate this is, but it confirms the electical integrity of the pickups). I've also hooked them up to an amp and tapped them with a screwdriver and they produce an amplified sound, so I'm happy they are working fine.

They're one piece resin castings with the coils embedded in them so no microphony or other ageing issues. The tops show some string wear, particularly on the edges.
