VINTAGE ZEISS IKON NETTAR 515/16 FOLDING 120 ROLL FILM 6X6 CAMERA WITH CASE.
This is an opportunity to purchase a Vintage Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515/16 Folding 120 Roll
Film 6x6 Camera with Case.
Serial No: 560333.
Some very minor cosmetic wear but overall in excellent condition.
The 515/16 is a medium format (6x6) folding camera made in Germany from 1937 but this is a post war version, probably produced in the late
forties or early fifties.
The Nettar is a true
self-erecting camera. It can be opened with one hand with the front springing automatically into the working position.
It
has a Novar-Anastigmat 75mm F6.3 lens in a Vario shutter with shutter speeds of
B, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 and 1/200 sec. which all sound accurate.
Adjusting the shutter speeds and aperture is smooth whilst the aperture and shutter blades are in a good, clean condition. The lens is clean and free from scratches and fungus and the bellows are light tight.
The camera is in an overall very good condition with no dings or dents and showing only slight signs of prior use with the bottom and top of the back-plate having minor paint loss and the slightest of tarnishing to the chrome viewfinder. The interior is clean and tidy with a take up spool in place.
Has not been tested with film - uses 120 roll film (not included).
Comes complete with a hand sewn real cowhide leather case and strap made in England which is also in good condition for its age.
Will make a very good working addition to any camera collection.
