Description

This is a Japanese calligraphy tools brush rest of Kyo ware. Was made about 20-30 years ago. White pottery coated with celadon glaze. Plum tree and plum flowers are molded on the body.
Kyo ware (Kyo yaki) is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally from Kyoto. It is therefore also known as Kyoto ware.
