"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."

Marcel Proust's Remembrance of Things Past. Random House, 2 volume set, published in 1934.

Overall these are in GOOD to VERY GOOD shape.

Volume 1 is 1141 pages and the pages appear clean and unmarked, other than three pages of the introduction (2 pictured above) where someone highlighted in pen.How could they not know that I'd find this book years later and want to sell it? The cover also has a few small yellowish/brownish marks that may or may not be part of the actual cloth material--I can't tell. Binding is fairly tight, though looser than on Volume 2.

Volume 2: 1124 pages.Volume 2 is cleaner and tighter and appears wholly unmarked/unhighlighted.

Overall a nice set. Purchase comes with a beautiful hand-painted watercolor bookmark and the comfort of knowing your books were gently, mindfully packaged before sent out to you so they arrive in their present condition:)
