This listing is for a lightly-used Portasound 424 High-speed Cassette Recorder/Mixer from TASCAM. Works great, original power supply and manual included!

The TASCAM Portastudio was the world's first four-track recorder based on a standard compact audio cassette tape. It remains one of the most popular of the "old school" analog portastudios, making them increasingly hard to come by.
The term portastudio is exclusive to TASCAM however it is generally used to describe all self-contained cassette-based multitrack recorders dedicated to music production. To increase the quality of the recording, the 424 has 3 speeds, one being a high-speed setting, 3-3/4 ips, twice the normal speed of a standard audio cassette. 

Condition:
This unit is in excellent condition, with a nice, clean plexi cover, just the lightest scuffing, too minor to be seen in the pics. All switches, functions and LED indicators work as expected. All inputs and outputs have been tested, the cassette deck also works as expected with a clear, steady playback at all speeds. The original power supply is included along with the manual! What a great deal on a quality piece of equipment!
