LEICA WILD IBA70 Is a robust,accurate construction laser with visible red laser beam
it is designed to work indoors, Its range is 50m
A Pentaprism in the rotor head splits the beam into 2 components
A, The vertical reference beam, Which emerges along the longitudinal axis of the instrument
B, The rotating beam which moves in the plane precisely at a right angle to it.
the speed of rotation of teh rotor head can be set to any value up to 500rpm. The spinning rotor
sweeps out a reference plane which includes the X and Y axis. To target a specified point,
the rotor can be braked electrically or manually at any time.
The IBA70 can be used horizontally and vertically
After the IBA70 has been rough levelled the built in electronic self leveling system completes the
levelling up of the reference plane when in horizontal mode and adjusts the
horizontality of the z- axis when in vertical mode.
The angle between the reference beam and the x and y axes is determined by the
Pentaprism and is exactly 90 degrees.
After the self levelling system has been switched off the reference plane can be set
at any tilt angle required.
