Description from Sony

The business class VPL-DW126 2600 Lumens WXGA 3LCD Portable Projector from Sony is designed to be flexible - whether you plan to install it permanently it or take it on the road with you. A single lamp provides 2600 ANSI lumens color brightness in Bright Mode, and a three-chip LCD imaging device renders a 1280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution, 16:10 "widescreen" aspect ratio image. Through scaling the projector can also support a range of non-native resolutions up to Full HD (1920 x 1080) for video and UXGA (1600 x 1200) for computer sources. The lens features 1.3x optical zoom with a 1.36:1 to 1.77:1 throw ratio to help you get the desired image size in cases where placement options are limited.

Multiple ports allow the VPL-DW126 to receive video and audio from a variety of sources, including computers, Blu-ray Disc and DVD players, document cameras, HDTV devices, and more. It features a VGA port, an HDMI port, and composite video port as well as a 3.5mm mini jack input for analog audio. Alongside the A/V ports, there is an Ethernet port for network control or delivering presentations from any computers on the same network. Finally, two USB ports allow you to connect the projector to a computer, give "PC-Free" slideshows directly from FAT32-formatted USB media, or install the included IFU-WLM3 Wi-Fi dongle.

Performance

3LCD Technology
A beamsplitting prism sends red, blue, and green light through three monochrome LCD displays to render a video image. 3LCD design features no moving parts in the imaging system, although there is still a cooling fan, and is free of the "rainbow effect" artifact sometimes perceived on color wheel-based systems.
2600 Lumens Color Brightness
This projector features both 2600 lumens white brightness and 2600 lumens color brightness. Some projectors only specify the white brightness in their lumens ratings, even though in many cases color portions of the image will be less bright than comparable gray scales. Determining the correct brightness for your applications requires taking into account the amount of ambient light (if any) in the room, the screen material used, the throw distance, and the content being shown.
1.3x Optical Zoom with 1.36 to 1.77:1 Throw Ratio
Throw ratio is one of the most important specifications a projector lens has as it tells you the image size (width) you will get at a give distance from the screen. For example, at the 1.16x zoom setting and a 10' 4" distance this projector will throw an 80"-wide (100"-diagonal) image.
16:10 Native Aspect Ratio
This projector features a 16:10 native aspect ratio. This is considered a widescreen format, and comes very close to the 16:9 standard of HDTV. This format is ideal if you plan to show HD video, and can still be used for presentations - though in the case of PowerPoints some extra space may be leftover on the sides. The projector can show 4:3 too; however black bars (pillaring) will have to be applied, or the image will have to be stretched or cropped to fit.
Up to 7,000 Hours Lamp Life
When used exclusively in Low Brightness Mode the lamp is estimated to last 7,000 hours.

Connectivity

Two USB Ports
Type B Female: Provides an alternative way of connecting the projector to a computer apart from HDMI or VGA. This features requires a USB cable (available separately) and the installation of USB Display software on the computer.

Type A Female: Allows you to display select still image formats such as JPEG and PNG from a FAT32-formatted flash drive or other USB media. This port also supports the installation of the optional IFU-WLM3 Wi-Fi adapter, available separately.
Network Presentation
Give presentations over a local network whether the projector is connected by wire or using the included IFU-WLM3 wireless USB dongle. With this feature you can project from any computer on your network. Because of LAN bandwidth limitations, this feature is intended for PowerPoint and other presentations comprised of largely static images.
Includes IFU-WLM3 Wi-Fi Dongle
Allows you to show content directly from compatible computers and mobile devices running the Sony Pixelworks app. Because this adapter depends on Wi-Fi bandwidth, wireless streaming is limited to still image formats including PowerPoint, JPEG, and PDF.
Ethernet Controllable
Operate remotely using a Web browser, PJLink-compatible software, or automation systems such as Crestron

Convenience

Auto Keystone Correction
Automatically adjust the picture to compensate for the trapezoidal "keystone" effect if the projector is placed vertically off-center relative to the screen. This is a digital process and may result in loss of detail if too much correction is applied.
"Off and Go"
Means the projector is ready to pack away almost as soon as you power it off - no waiting for the fan to complete its cooling cycle.

Energy-Saving

Auto Brightness Adjustment Function
Assesses the scene content to dynamically adjust lamp output - lower for darker scenes, higher for brighter scenes. It can also be set to automatically dim if no signal is detected for more than 10 seconds
Blanking
Cuts the screen to black either to bring focus back to the presenter or teacher or to save energy and lamp life without powering down fully. This can be switched on or off using a button the included IR remote.

Image Processing

12-Bit 3D Gamma Correction
12-bit 3D gamma correction circuitry maps luminance values from the incoming signal to render tonal (grayscale) gradation that is optimized for this projector
Film Mode
Integrated interlaced to progressive scan conversion helps ensure video plays back smoothly even if pull-down was used
