Offered is a 54-slot cylinder for a sock-knitting machine.   I don't know the age, maker or model.  It came to me loose, so I have no clues.  Bidders please be sure it is something you can use.  An ID would be greatly appreciated.

~ About 4 inches in height.

~  ID is 4 inches on the gear end and slightly over 4 inches on the alloy end.

~  Weighs slightly over 4 pounds.

~  No apparent damage beyond tarnish and light corrosion.  Slots clean.

~  Little screws in steel gear-ring look OK.

~  ID varies slightly, about 1/16 inch, on alloy end, so it's slightly out of perfectly round on that end.

~  Please look the pictures over closely.

Ships via USPS in the USA.  I do my best to ship safely at lowest cost.  Quick, too.  (USPS rates went up again in January, 2017.)   International bidders please email for a shipping quote.  I may be able to find something cheaper than the Shipping Calculator shows.

Please pay within 4 days.  Questions and information are always welcome.

    Thanks for looking.

A most kind fellow Ebayer has told me that removing the steel ring and picturing it could be an aid to identification.  The screws backed out with my fingers and the ring slipped off easily, even though it's a close fit.

The end of the alloy cylinder is smooth for about 7/16 inch.   The inner part of the steel ring has a recess of about 1/8 by 1/4 inch.

The last four pictures are added for this purpose.

Noticed a 1903 Gearhart running, that includes a cylinder quite similar, although not perfectly, identical to this one.  (I don't claim that's what it is,  ...just sayin')
