Bing &Grondahl Royal Copenhagen has issued each year from 1895 a Christmas plate in the famous hand painted cobalt blue. Every plate is made for one year only. Then the moulds are destroyed. Normally the plates are sold out within a short period of time, and can usually only be bought as antique items.
